Privacy Policy

How we collect, use and protect your data — written in plain English, not legalese.

Last updated: 17 July 2026

We never sell your data

Your information is used to deliver the service you asked for — nothing more.

Encrypted in transit and at rest

HTTPS everywhere. Passwords hashed. Backups encrypted.

You're in control

Access, correct or delete your data at any time.

Plain-English commitments

No legal walls of text hiding surprises.

1. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run the service you asked for:

  • Account information — your name, email address and profile photo (if you sign in with Google).
  • Order details — the contact and billing information you provide for domains, service orders and subscriptions.
  • Support conversations — messages you send us via live chat, WhatsApp, email or contact forms.
  • Basic usage data — anonymous page-view analytics used to improve the site.

2. How we use it

To deliver services (register your domain, run your project, send invoices, provide support), to keep the platform secure from abuse, and to communicate with you about your account. That's it — no data brokers, no ad networks, no reselling.

3. Who we share it with

Only trusted providers who help us operate — and only what's strictly necessary:

  • Payment processors (Lenco, card networks, mobile-money operators) to accept your payments.
  • Domain registries (ZICTA and international registrars) to register your domains.
  • Cloud infrastructure providers to host the platform.

We may also disclose information where required by law.

4. Data retention

Account and billing records are kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet tax and legal obligations. Support conversations are kept for up to two years. You can request early deletion at any time.

5. Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, correct anything inaccurate, or ask us to delete your account by emailing privacy@southtechafrica.com. Some records (like paid invoices) may need to be retained for legal reasons.

6. Security

We use HTTPS everywhere, encrypt sensitive data at rest, hash passwords using industry-standard algorithms, apply role-based access controls internally, and take automated backups. No system is 100% secure, but we work continuously to keep your data safe.

7. Cookies

We use only essential cookies (to keep you signed in and remember your preferences) and privacy-respecting analytics that don't track you across other sites.

8. Children

Our services are not directed at children under 16. We don't knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes we'll notify you by email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect.
